Remembrance Day

 Remembrance Day - November 11

Each year on the eleventh day, of the eleventh month, at the eleventh hour we stand in silence recognizing the end of the war to end all wars, World War 1, and remembering its dead. Unfortunately, World War 1 only took a few years to forget, and the world entered another World War, to be named aptly, World War 2 which resulted in millions of live's lost. Despite the millions of live's lost we refuse to learn the lesson of the futility of war, as at present wars rage, and innocent people are still dying by the millions to satiate the selfishness of but a few.

It’s no doubt obvious that I find the concept of war appalling, and the fact that the generations of today are quite nonchalant about it. My opinion, war and the horrors of war, in all its graphic representations, should be taught in schools no matter how revolting, for as long as war continues to be nothing more than a digital video game, or a distant occurrence, we will continue to play into the hands of the persons lurking in the shadows that profit from violence on a global scale.

Unfortunately, the action that I propose will never happen, as humanity has been corrupted by a warped sense of morality, failing to realize that it is playing into the hands of distraction.
