SPRING
SPRING
As winter’s grip loosens,
snow comes and goes.
Ice that once covered the Bay,
breaks up and floats away.
Water that rumbled ,
now roars,
and winds that blew cold,
are warm once more.
The snow,
that blanketed the forest,
melts away.
Chickadees,
more vocal,
still dee-deeing,
search for food, and
are joined by other birds,
a chorus in the forest.
Life on hold,
now comes alive,
and thrives,
as spring takes hold.
