THERE COMES THE TIME

There comes the time

when we have no choice

we must let go

having grown old

lost our voice

we must accept

that we’ve had our day

made some difference

though 

perhaps

not enough

but enough

to pave the way

for others

younger

to have their choice

so with heavy hearts

we 

reluctantly 

let go

for we 

have

no  choice.
