DAYS

Days,

seemingly not so long ago,

were seen as the best of times.

Now,

our days are experienced, 

as the worst of times; for

in recent times,

a coronavirus was thrust upon us, 

and decided...

to stay awhile.

The virus, 

it seems, 

does not suffer fools gladly.

Fail to follow the rules, 

your fate is sealed.

Misery; 

the least of your worries, for

if it lingers, 

your life is gone.

Perhaps, a fitting end, 

to those deserving,

those that chose to deny our worry, and 

helped to spread the sickness; 

and make us sorry.

Sadness, however,

for those aging, as

exposure at any level,

can results in a death, 

undeserving.

One day,

the virus,

having had its way,

will no doubt go away, and

hopefully,

stay away.

Time will tell….
